Bootcamp Description
The Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist credential is part of the new and
simplified certification structure that all Microsoft certifications are being migrated
to. MCTS: .NET Framework 2.0 is the core component that later specialty certifications
are built upon. This new camp follows the same proven format of our other camps
with intensive instruction, practical skills development and exam preparation. Developers
holding the MCTS: .NET Framework 2.0 Web Applications certification have demonstrated
skills and depth of knowledge of Web application technology and data access in Web
applications.
This course prepares you to take the two exams required to achieve the MCTS: .NET
Framework 2.0 Web Applications certification; which is structured in roughly two
parts. Each part is designed to help you pass one of the two required exams.
Part1: .NET Framework 2.0 Application Development Foundation (70-536)
- Developing applications that use system types and collections.
- Implementing service processes, threading, and application domains in a .Net Framework
application.
- Embedding configuration, diagnostic, management, and installation features into
a .NET Framework application.
- Implementing serialization and input/output functionality in a .NET Framework application.
- Improving the security of the .NET Framework applications by using the .NET Framework
2.0 security features.
- Implementing interoperability, reflection, and mailing functionality in a .NET Framework
application.
- Implementing globalization, drawing, and text manipulation functionality in a .NET
Framework application.
Part2: .NET Framework 2.0 - Web-Based Client Development (70-528)
- Creating and programming a Web application.
- Integrating data in a Web application by using ADO.NET, XML, and data-bound controls.
- Creating custom web controls.
- Tracing, configuring, and deploying applications.
- Customizing and personalizing a Web application.
- Implementing authentication and authorization.
- Creating ASP.NET Mobil Web applications.
Prerequisites
Candidates for this course should be comfortable in a .NET language, either VB.NET
or C#. Course materials and examples will be provided in which ever language the
student wishes to pursue.
