CompTIA Certifications That Meet DoD 8570.1 Requirements

8570.1 Courses Currently Available


CT 1000: CompTIA A+ - IT Technician.  5-days.: Fast-paced, comprehensive course designed for review and exam prep.  Delivered in a 5 day format including two CompTIA exams. The first exam is usually on the third day and the second exam is delivered on day five.  Emphasis is on preparing students for the CompTIA 220-601 Essentials exam and the CompTIA 220-602 IT Technician exam. After successfuly passing both exams, students will have achieved their A+ certification which satisfies the IA Technical (IAT) Level I requirement of DoD Directive 8570.1


CT 1004: CompTIA Security+.  5-days.: This very popular course is designed for both technical and management professionals. This course will emphasize preparation for the CompTIA SY0-201 certification exam.  Delivered in a 5 day class format with the exam on the last day. After successfuly passing this exam, students will achieve their CompTIA Security+ certification which satisifies either the IA Technical (IAT) Level II or the IA Management (IAM) level I requirement of DoD Directive 8570.1.


CT 1001: CompTIA Network+.  5-days.: Comprehensive course designed for review and exam prep for the CompTIA N10-004 exam.  Delivered in a 5 day format with the exam on the last day. After successfuly passing the exam, students will achieve their Network+ certification which satisfies the IA Technical (IAT) Level I requirement of DoD Directive 8570.1



Prerequisites for these courses:

These courses are specifically geared toward both subject review and exam prep for the related CompTIA certification exam. Students will be engaged in instructor-led lectures, discussions and demonstrations that will teach and reinforce the concepts and objectives of each exam.
In order to fully absorb the material covered, students should have basic to moderate experience with computer hardware, networking or security concepts. Most importantly, students should have a strong desire to succeed, be attentive during class and also be willing to study after class hours to help ensure their success on the related certification exam.
